The workshop is designed for high school students who are currently, or wanting to be, athletic training students.
Our workshop is run by the Georgia Tech Sports Medicine staff. They will be assisted by other Georgia Tech staff members and graduate assistants.
The bulk of the workshop will take place in main athletic training room in the Homer Rice Center in the Arthur B. Edge, Jr Intercollegiate Athletics Center. The main athletic training room is located on the ground floor. There will be also be field trips to various athletic facilities on campus as well as tour of a professional athletic training facility.
Check-in will take place at the dormitory where the attendees will stay. Directions and parking info will be sent in a second email approximately 10-14 days before the workshop.
The workshop begins on Thursday with registration for overnight participants and 12pm and day participants at 12:45pm. The workshop end on Sunday at 12pm.
The sessions will begin each day at 9am (except for the 1st day) and will end each day at 8pm (except for the last day.)
Participants should dress comfortably each day, shorts are recommended. Please do not wear tank-tops, flip-flops, denim shorts, or jeans.
The participants are housed in one of the Georgia Tech dormitories on campus and are supervised by Georgia Tech Sports Medicine staff and Georgia Tech Conference Services personnel.
Lunch and dinner will be provided for all attendees with overnight attendees receiving breakfast as well. Please notify the workshop staff if you have allergy or dietary issues so we can make necessary arrangements.
While spending money is not required, parents are encouraged to provide some money for vending machine snacks/drinks and pizza in the dorms after the evening session.
